What a year for the Big Apple.

NYC and Company, the city’s tourism arm, is announcing that a record 60.3 million tourists visited the area this year – that’s a jump of 1.8 million from 2015. It was originally predicted that there would be 59.7 million visitors in 2016.

Of the 60.3 million, 47.6 million individuals hail from the U.S. and 12.65 million came from abroad.

The city forecasts 61.8 million tourists for 2017.
