Those in the tri-state area now have the chance to sail aboard one of the world’s largest cruise ships without having to fly to an out-of-state port.

Norwegian Cruise Line is announcing that the 4,200-passenger Norwegian Escape will sail out of Manhattan beginning in April 2018.

The ship will operate seven-night itineraries to Bermuda, seven-night sailings to the Bahamas and Florida, and longer Caribbean voyages.

The Escape is replacing the Breakaway, which will reposition from the Big Apple to the Baltic that same year.
