Since the November Paris attacks, we’ve heard several reports that the events put a damper on the city’s tourism industry.

A recent report from wholesale hotel room buyer JacTravel is indicates that hotel bookings are taking a hit. It cites a ForwardKeys study, which looks at flight data, and says that Paris bookings are down 28 percent compared to the same time last year.

JacTravel, which fills 250,000 nights a year in Paris, reports that even though hotels are reluctant to cut nightly rates, there are some offering discounts and promotions. One might find room upgrades, reduced minimum stay requirements, 25-30 percent off two-night stays, and more when looking for hotels in the City of Light.

The company suggests that perhaps the properties will make decisions about its pricing strategies after the holiday period.
