Hooray for Hollywood.

The Hollywood Hotel, which was originally built in 1927, is getting a facelift. The hotel, located in the heart of Tinseltown, is giving its 130 guestrooms, outdoor courtyard and lounge, bar, pool area, lobby, and roof-deck a new look.

New elements of guestrooms include light wood grain floors, down duvets and pillows, flat-screen TVs, vintage-style clothes rack, fashion-inspired artwork, and black and white bathroom.

As for public areas, the pool area will get new restrooms, more seating, and a veranda. Plans for the rooftop include a bar, pool, lounge, seating area, putting green, billiards table, ping-pong tables, and outdoor movie theater.

Reservations are expected to be completed by the end of the summer or in the fall.
