Facebook is always striving to make our lives easier. Here’s the scoop on its latest feature.
USA Today reports that the social network is launching a new tool called Featured Events that helps people in 10 major cities – including New York, San Francisco, and Washington, DC – learn more about public events like fairs, concerts, and festivals.
You can find these events at the top of your events tab on the mobile app or on the web. Facebook staff will select the featured events, and users can be alerted to them through a weekly digest or push notifications.
The new tool won’t include private events nor will users see ads from event creators.
