We’re sure this is music to the airline industry’s ears.

According to a recently released Department of Transportation report, the number of airline complaints from the first six months of 2016 is down 12 percent compared to the same time last year – from 9,542 to 8,376.

CNN Money reports that grievances over delays, cancellations, and misconnections were down 14 percent during the first two quarters of this year. Fewer complaints were made over customer service, ticketing, fares, and boarding problems.

However, more complaints about discrimination were made in 2016 (38, compared to 28 last year). Filings over the treatment of disabled passengers increased by 17 percent to 426.
