Norwegian Cruise Line’s new carry-on beverage policy is now in effect, limiting what drinks you can bring along on your voyage.

Passengers are no longer permitted to bring on board liquor, beer, water, soda, and juice. The cruise line claims the move was made in order to speed up embarkation.

Under the new rule, cruisers cannot bring back beverages when returning from port, either. Wine, however, is still permitted – with a $15-$30 corkage fee.

Those bringing water for baby formula or milk must alert Norwegian beforehand.
