If you’re heading out for a Disney cruise and plan to bring alcohol, there are some things you should know.

Disney Cruise Line is instituting a new policy for carry-on liquor, effective Sept. 30, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Under the new rules, guests won’t be allowed to bring any liquor or spirits upon embarkation or after returning from port. The previous policy let passengers bring liquor and beer as long as it was carried on.

The cruise will continue to allow guests ages 21 and over to bring standard sized bottles of wine or champagne, or a six-pack of 12 oz. beer cans or bottles. Those items must be stored in carry-on luggage. Liquors, spirits, and any over-the limit wine will be put into storage until the end of the cruise.

Drinking carry-on beverages can’t be done in public areas of the ship, though you can enjoy it in the main restaurants, where a $25 corking fee is imposed.
