Frequent Amtrak passengers, listen up.
In January 2016, Amtrak will introduce several changes to the Amtrak Guest Rewards program.
Enhancements to the program include the elimination of blackout dates and Acela time restrictions, bonus points for Acela and Business class travel, and points that won’t expire with qualifying account activity within 36 months.
Additionally, members will find a simplified redemption structure for free Amtrak travel based on ticket prices instead of zones or routes, and opportunities to redeem multi-ride tickets and monthly passes.
Customers can use the Amtrak Guest Rewards points estimator tool to check how many points they can earn for travel or how many are needed to redeem for a trip.
