In celebration of the Fourth of July, Americans are hitting the road — in record numbers.

AAA reports that nearly 43 million people across the country will travel between June 30 and July 1. That’s the highest travel volume ever for the weekend, and five million more than Memorial Day weekend.

It’s estimated that 36 million people will drive to their destinations, while another 3.3 million will fly. The rest are set to get around via trains, buses, and cruise ships.
