For the third straight year, Qantas is being named AirlineRatings.com’s safest airline thanks to its fatality-free record and other factors.
The website determines the list by looking at the International Air Transport Association or Operational Safety Audit certification, if it’s on the European Union Blacklist, if it has had no fatalities in the past 10 years, if it’s FAA endorsed, and if it only operates Russian-built aircraft.
Other things considered are if the airline meets all safety parameters of the International Civil Aviation Organization and if its fleet has ever been grounded by that country’s governing aviation safety authority due to safety concerns.
