Pregnant women are being warned about travel to Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood — north of the downtown district — where 10 people have become infected with the Zika Virus. This brings the total number of residents in the city infected to 14.

The precaution marks the first time that the Center for Disease Control (CDC) has warned people to avoid travel to a location within the U.S. out of worries over the disease.

In Miami, there have been door-to-door collections of blood and urine by CDC officials to test for the disease. Raising more concerns is the fact that this is the first instance in which the virus has been spread through local mosquitos.
