Air Transport World, a media brand focusing on the airline industry is announcing American Airlines as the 2017 Airline of the Year.
To win the award, an airline must excel in operations, financial performance, customer service, safety, and labor relations. The integration of American and US Airways also contributed to the honors.
Previous winners include Etihad Airways, Southwest Airlines, Delta, ANA, Air New Zealand, and Emirates.
