Get ready to add a trip to Volcano Bay to your Universal Orlando itinerary.

The resort is releasing more information about the resort’s new water park, opening next summer. The 28-acre facility will have 18 attractions across four themed areas. In Krakatau, where the centerpiece volcano stands, find several slides: two 124-foot intertwining body slides, a 125-foot body plunge with a 70-degree drop, and four racing slides with manta-shaped rafts.

Over in Wave Village, dip in the multi-directional wave pool, lie on the beach, or cool off at The Reef leisure pool. River Village will have a lazy river with water effects and nighttime lighting; a toddler play area; water playground; and a couple of multi-rider raft attractions.

Maku – a saucer ride with rafts sliding around a trio of saucer-shaped curves – will be a marquee attraction of Rainforest Village. It’ll be joined by a leisure pool; Easter Island-inspired slides; a pair of twisting slides that launch guests four and six feet above the water at the end; and another raft ride for multiple passengers.

Guests won’t even have to bring tubes to the ride with them. There will also be two-story cabanas, concierge locations, lockers, and themed restaurants and bars.
