Don’t you just hate it when you find a great rate at a resort and later find out that the resort fees cost about a third of one night’s stay? You’re not alone.

A new poll commissioned by Travelers United, a non-profit group with 23,000 members, reveals that 80 percent of 1,100 consumers polled want resort fees included in advertised pricing. Eighty-seven percent say they would be less willing to stay at a hotel or resort that imposes a fee for activities or amenities that they didn’t use.

USA Today reports that many U.S. properties charge fees for amenities like fitness centers, pools, and Wi-Fi.
