Make vacation planning a family affair Plan the trip together. Get kids involved with internet searches and ordering brochures and maps from the Tourist bureau.

Find The Perfect Trip Talk to your outfitter and ask them to help you pick the best match for you and your family

Strike A Balance Plan group trips which allow the kids to be with other kids so you can have time to relax and enjoy adult activities

Act Your Age Seek out families with kids in same age group

Pack Light Traveling with a small child is tough enough. Having to deal with a small child and multiple heavy bags will weigh you down even more. Limit your luggage to a carry on plus a personal item per person

Mix n’ Match When it comes to packing, bottoms should match multiple tops. Material should be wrinkle free. No bulky stuff. Just one warm item in the summer

Stay Family Friendly Find restaurants and attractions that offer discounts for families. Look for hotels, resorts, and cruise lines that accommodate single parent households without charging a second adult fare for parent and child double occupancy.

Look For Support Find single parent support groups in your area. You’ll be the first to know of single parent socials, local activities, and group outings.

Stay Focused On Your Family Don’t concentrate on all the two parent families at your destination
