Better get some final splash time in at Wet ‘n Wild before the end of 2016.

The 38-year-old Orlando water park is slated to close late next year. According to the Orlando Sentinel, the park on busy International Drive has been owned by Universal since 1998.

The announcement comes on the heels of the recent news that Universal Orlando is opening its own onsite water park called Volcano Bay in 2017.

The good news is that Wet ‘n Wild employees will be given job opportunities at Universal Orlando and Volcano Bay.
