New Non-Stops To South America
Delta Air Lines may start a nonstop service to Argentina from New York.
On June 10, Delta announced that it filed an application with the U.S. Department of Transportation to start the non-stop flight between New York’s JFK Airport and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
If approved, Delta will offer five flights a week from December to April and four flights each week during the rest of the year, according to a company press release on TravMedia.com. If approved, the flight will take off in December 2008.
Presently Delta flies nonstop to Argentina from Atlanta, the hub of most of its service to Latin America, along with Los Angeles.
Later this year, Delta will also start nonstop service between JFK and Bogotá, Colombia.
