Woman Overboard On Own
The woman who fell of a balcony on the Norwegian Dawn was alone and not the victim of foul play, according to surveillance video, reports travelweekly.com.
Footage from the ship's surveillance system, including cameras in the interior hallways and on the exterior sides of the ship, confirms that the passenger who was traveling with her boyfriend was alone in her cabin at the time of the incident, NCL said.
The cruise line said that the boyfriend had gone to their friend's cabin next door, and that the victim was captured on video falling overboard from her balcony into the water.
Shortly thereafter, NCL said an emergency call was made from the friends' cabin, a man-overboard announcement was made and the ship's crew began lifesaving operations, including the launch of two rescue boats.
