Changes are coming to Mohegan Sun.

The Connecticut casino resort is announcing a two-year renovation that will overhaul its 1,200-room Sky Tower. The $50 million project will give a facelift to standard guestrooms and junior suites with new carpets, furniture, motion sensor lights under the end tables, and an iPad that lets guests control the thermostat, order room service, and more.

Upgrades will also be given to the corridors and lobby furniture, in addition to changes to the existing, 22,000-square-foot spa that will turn it into Mandara Spa for 2017. A second Mandara Spa will open this fall at the property’s new Earth Tower.

Also in the fall, The Shops at Mohegan Sun will open Victoria’s Secret; in the summer, new restaurants – Tom’s Urban and Jumbo Oriental – will debut.
