Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport — one of the world’s busiest airports — was rocked by three explosions carried out by suicide bombers on Tuesday, killing at least 41 people and injuring more than 200 others.

The attacks were carried out after police fired shots at the suspects outside the terminal.

Following the attack, the FAA stopped all flights between the U.S. and Istanbul — but that ban has since been lifted. July 4th-bound travelers will see increased security at U.S. airports, including those in the New York City area.

This is the latest in a string of terrorist attacks on the city — and is another blow to the country’s tourism as it battles ISIS and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party. Wednesday marks a day of national mourning for Turkey.
