Hi Val
I’m looking for an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana that has great food, very nice accommodations that is priced well. I want to go Nov 21-25.

Thanks

Dawn

Hi Dawn,

The Dominican Republic is a popular vacation destination and is full of all-inclusive resorts, which are designed to incorporate the added-value of your meals and activities in one price.
Keep in mind your plans coincide with Thanksgiving which might bump up the cost for both air and accommodations.
For true value, you might be better going in the off-season, when it’s warm both here and there.

That’s when the discounting is at its best, such as summertime in New York and hurricane season that follows. (You have to be willing to take the risk on that one!)
For a splurge, consider staying at Majestic Elegance Punta Cana. Located on the shores of Playa Bavaro, it is a five-star resort that opened four years ago. Keep in mind though that all rooms at this resort are either junior suites or suites.

Known for its cuisine, there are six restaurants here: five of them are a la carte and one is a buffet—you can make unlimited visits to all of them. With dishes ranging from seafood to steak, Japanese to Italian, the food will appeal to almost any palate.

Another suggestion that is more value priced is IBEROSTAR Punta Cana, which is also situated on Playa Bavaro. This newly-renovated resort was designed for both couples and families. Here you will find standard rooms, family-sized rooms and junior suites. The cuisine here is an eclectic mix, with almost a dozen bars and restaurants to choose from.

Both of these all-inclusive resorts have a spa, golf course, casino and various activities for guests of all age levels.

To get a feel for other all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana, please see this list. Remember, every resort varies in their activities, food and price levels. For more information on traveling to the Dominican Republic, be sure to check out the country’s official tourism website.

To our web visitors who have been to the DR, what’s your favorite all-inclusive resort?  We would love to hear from you in the comments section!
