In-park entertainment is just one of the many things that Disney parks do best, and if a new FAA decision is any indication, things are only getting better.

The agency is approving Disney’s request to allow unmanned drones to fly over Walt Disney World and Disneyland parks. According to TravelPulse, this means that as soon as the end of this year, guests may be able to see their favorite characters flying overhead.

The technology, called Flixels, is to be comprised of multiple small aircraft that would carry LED lights and screens. The drones will fly over water or in restricted areas that are off limits to guests.

The decision overturns Walt Disney World’s status of being a no-fly zone, which came in 2003.
