Whale watching season will soon begin in Australia, where the Kingfisher Bay Resort is offering a two-night “Whale Watch” package from Aug. 1 - Oct. 30, 2008.

The stay includes catamaran transfers from the harbor to the island, two nights hotel accommodation at this eco-tourism resort, hot buffet breakfasts and a half-day cruise to Platypus Bay to see the whales.

On their return migration to Antarctica, humpback whales stop at Hervey Bay near World Heritage-listed Fraser Island, close to the resort. Visitors can choose to add a stay at the island.

In the resort's package, each room is a twin share for $378 per person.
