We’ve got the scoop on this week’s latest cruise industry headlines.

Disney Cruise Line is announcing its summer 2017 itineraries. Next July 24, the Disney Wonder will sail a nine-night voyage from Vancouver to Alaska, Icy Strait Point, Hubbard Glacier, Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and Tracy Arm Fjord. A seven-night itinerary departing on July 17 will call in the same ports – except Hubbard Glacier – and a five-night sailing on Aug. 2 will go to Tracy Arm Fjord and Ketchikan.

If Europe is more your speed, the Disney Magic will cruise to Amsterdam for the first time while on a 15-night sailing from Port Canaveral on May 13. It’ll also visit the city on a 10-night sailing from Copenhagen on June 18.

Also new in 2017, the Disney Fantasy will embark on longer itineraries – 10- and 11-night cruises to the southern Caribbean on June 17 and 28.

Many Disney Cruise Line fans regard a stop at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, as one of the trips’ highlights. For those who would enjoy more time at this tropical oasis, select Disney Dream sailings will stop there twice. Those include four-nighters departing on June 7 and 21, and July 5; and five-night cruises on June 2, 11, 16, 25, and 30, and July 9.

Want to sail with Royal Caribbean? The cruise line will bring Rhapsody of the Seas to New Jersey’s Cape Liberty next summer for seven-night cruises to the Bahamas. Anthem of the Seas will continue operating its five-, seven-, and nine-night Bermuda and Caribbean voyages from the port.
