Amtrak rides are about to get a whole lot tastier.
New York State and the train company are announcing a partnership that will see some of New York’s own food and beverages being served on board Maple Leaf, Adirondack, Empire Service, and Ethan Allen Express trains.
Long Island bagels, yogurt from upstate, Bronx coffee cakes, and beer and cider from Albany, Brooklyn, and Cooperstown are part of the lineup.
While you’re indulging in those goodies, don’t forget to pick up The National, Amtrak’s new onboard magazine. The free copies are located in seatbacks and feature travel essays, poetry, photography, Q&As, profiles of American companies, and more.
