A new seat class is taking to the friendly skies.

American Airlines is debuting its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft along with its new premium economy class.

Situated between economy and business class, the new segment has more legroom than the main cabin extra seats and access to an oversized lavatory.

View from the Wing reports that premium economy seats are not yet on sale, but they’re bookable like any economy seat. It is currently flying domestically with service like coach, but will begin to offer enhanced services – including meals, amenity kits, and noise-reducing headsets.
